The first meeting of LGVFC was held in a barn that served as our first location
The Ladies Auxiliary of Long Green Volunteer Fire Company was formed.
Our first truck, a Republic, was acquired and was first put to the test that August.
Having outgrown Mumma’s barn, we relocated to a lot on Long Green Road.
We built our new location on Long Green Road with two engine bays to accommodate our growth.
We acquired a new truck, an International Darley, to replace the old Republic truck, which had become obsolete.
We obtained a new International Howe tanker truck.
We added an addition to the existing building to accommodate for fundraising events.
We gained an FWD truck.
We added a hose tower onto our building to help facilitate drying of the fire hoses.
We purchased an International four-wheel drive brush and utility truck to help serve the community.
We acquired an Oren International truck.
We began work to build a new hall.
Membership to the Long Green Volunteer Fire Company became open to females.
We acquired a Ford Grumman engine, which was known as Engine 382.
Engine 381 was damaged in an accident and placed out of service.
Our “new” Engine 381, an E-One, was delivered and placed in service.
