Being a cadet at long green means more than just learning the trade, its being part of a family. We have a training night at least once a month for the cadets along with other various activities such as a week long day camp, where the cadets will do anything from rappel down the side of a cliff, to learn water rescue techniques . Cadets also participate in parades and will assist with general maintenance and checking the equipment for correct operation. All of the training and activities are supervised by trained personnel to keep the risk at a bare minimum.

We are accepting applications for the cadet program. The only requirements are that the children be between the ages of 13 and 15. You can call the firehouse at (410)592-8337 and ask for Brandon, email at cadets@lgvfc.com or just stop by and we will be happy to answer all the questions that you might have.
